The story…
I was a youth worker for as long as I can remember. Pretty much from I was 16 and I got more involved in the youth club and I could see the impact my actions had on others I was hooked. That drive to be a positive element in the world and in others’ lives was well rooted then and it’s still going strong now 5 years after I’ve left my job in the helping profession.
Ciara and I got married on a dewy August afternoon in 2017 with our gorgeous daughter Olive witnessing the whole thing in a flower girl dress she talked about wearing that whole year. In 2018 baby Edith arrived in a set of circumstances that would frame the next few years of our lives which avid followers of my Insta will know all about but in summary, everyone is safe, well, and very very happy now. Then little Alfie completed our family in January 2021 and Ciara had to upgrade to a 7 seater! We are so very lucky.
Ciara works on the admin side of things, she keeps me in line, organised and focused. She manages the studio, makes sure Olive has lunch money, Edith isn’t drawing on the walls, and Cocomelon is on 24/7 for Alfie, and that I always have my shirt tucked in (not always in that order).
I photograph the people. It’s always been about people for me. Give me people and I’m happy. Even if you plonk me at the Grand Canyon with a camera I’ll feel a little incomplete, I’ll always want to incorporate people in it somewhere.
Thats probably why I love Weddings so much. It’s all the things I love about people crammed into one room and diluted with Gin. It’s a couple in love, kids covered in cake, proud parents, grannies with a tissue shoved up their sleeve, uncles with a camera getting in the way (nearly always), random relatives your mum made you invite, girls from Uni, lads from work, Dave from the pub, they’re all little bits of the puzzle that make every occasion it’s own special shin-dig.
We want to work with couples who believe in investing in us because they see our passion for their story and their memories. We want them to laugh, cry, and ultimately feel like we understand who they are, what their day is about and present that story to them in a way that will catalog it forever.
To fully focus on our couples and provide the full experience we only take 35 weddings per year.
