Eimear + Fintan // Killeavy Castle, Newry, Northern Ireland

Welcome to the Wedding of Fintan and Eimear, who recently held their Wedding Reception in the newly restored, Killeavy Castle. I was thrilled to be one of the first photographers to shoot a Wedding here. Everything from the decor, the service and the staff were truly magnificent. With access to some of Ireland's most stunning views, this distinctive new hotel is the ultimate expression in old world heritage and new world comfort. Marrying the traditions of the past with the individual charm of a modern boutique hotel, 'where old meets new' is probably the best way to describe Killeavy Castle. Originally a Mill and Coach House, the building has been lovingly transformed into a family-owned Hotel that is full of charm and elegant comfort, ideal for couples who want a contemporary Wedding, with luxury and character.

Eimear initially booked me after I photographed her sisters wedding a few years ago, so it was great to be re-united with them all again, and i’m really chuffed that they chose me to capture their big day too. These guys were such a dreamy couple to work with, and every time I feature them on my social media I find myself writing #REALLIFEBRIDE as they quite literally looked like something from a magazine shoot.

Eimear and Fintan had many special features to their wedding which gave me copious amount of scope to create amazing images, some of which are featured below in this blog. From the epic floral crown portraits by Stephen Mallon, to the steamy night time car picture after cigars and jaigermesiter, we really did create some memorable moments. We can’t forget to mention the castle grounds with EPIC views, and the interior of the Castle itself, adding another unique dimension to their images.
